Gas Compressors

A Gas Compressor is a mechanical device driven by either a natural gas engine or large electric motor. Used extensively in the Natural Gas systems to boost the pressure of gas from one system or pipeline so it can be injected into the higher pressure system. Gas will loose pressure as it travels through and along a pipeline due to friction. Compressors are placed along a long pipeline to boost the gas pressure and keep it moving. Compressors are also used to raise gas pressure for the purpose of processing.
